About the Event

American Center and the Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) cordially invite you to a presentation of survey results followed by panel discussion titled “(Still) United: What Unites and Divides the Czech Society”. According to the latest Globsec Trends 2023 survey, the Czech Republic is the most pro-democratic, pro-Western country within the region of Central and Eastern Europe. At the same time, Czech society is facing many crises, and the resulting frustrations can be easily exploited by actors from populist political parties to foreign powers. What unites and divides Czech society? What role does disinformation play in this? And how to overcome these differences? These and other issues will be discussed after the presentation of the results of the Globsec Trends 2023 survey. The speakers are Kristína Šefčíková, PSSI; Jana Magdoňová, Czech Radio; Jaroslav Valůch, Transitions. The discussion will be moderated by Nikoleta Nemečkayová from the Association of International Affairs (AMO).
