The American Center invites you to the exhibition of 50 historical photos by Mr. Jaroslav Bruner-Dvořák, a well-known architecture photographer. He took photographs of the Schönborn Palace in the time when it became U.S. Embassy Prague. Photos present marvelous interiors used for representative events of the noble family, but also poor-looking rooms used as flats for rental. Jaroslav Bruner-Dvořák also had the opportunity to visit the place where the Consul lived and depicted “American Christmas.” He photographed the villa of the Petschek family that later became the U.S. Ambassador´s official residence. The exhibition presents photos from the Scheufler Collection that is the largest private collection from the time of Austria-Hungary Empire in the Czech Republic.
