Madeleine Albright was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and became the first female U.S. Secretary of State. She was also pioneer in using pins as a diplomatic tool. Sometimes a pin supported her argument. Other times they helped build rapport or ease the tension in a high-level meeting. During her storied career, Secretary Albright collected hundreds of pins. The exhibit displays many of them and shares the stories behind them. The exhibit at American Center Prague is made possible by a partnership with the National Museum of American Diplomacy in Washington D.C.
