About the Event

Fifty years ago on August 28, 1963, an estimated 250,000 people marched to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, where they heard Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous "I Have a Dream" speech. The speech gave an impassioned voice to the demands of the U.S. civil rights movement: equal rights and justice for all citizens.

To commemorate this historic speech and this pivotal time in American History, the American Center will dedicate the opening of the season program to this event. There will be a special performance by the legendary Czech band Spirituál Kvinted in the magnificent Wratislav Palace gardens.

In Czech.
Please, note, that space will be limited so sign up early. In case of rain, we may cancel the event.
