The panel discussion will feature: Dr. Ricardo Ramírez, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Kateřina Březinová, Head of the Iberoamerican Studies Center at the Metropolitan University in Prague, and José M. de Areilza Carvajal, Aspen Institute España. The discussion will be moderated by Tomáš Klvaňa, author of a new book on Trump phenomenon (Fenomén Trump – Poslední vzpoura bílých mužů).

Dr. Ricardo Ramírez, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame, is the coeditor of Transforming Politics, Transforming America: The Political and Civic Incorporation of Immigrants in the United States (Virginia).
Dr. Kateřina Březinová is Associate professor of International relations at the Metropolitan University in Prague. Prior to her current position, she has taught and conducted research on US Latinos at the Colegio de México, as well as at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Březinová is an author of "El Imaginario Chicano" on civil and political engagement of Mexicans living in the US (Charles Univeristy Press, 2015).
Dr. José M. de Areilza is Secretary General of the Aspen Institute España and Professor of Law & Jean Monnet Chair at Ramón Llull University, Spain. He holds a Doctorate from Harvard University. He has served as advisor to the Spanish Prime Minister on European and North American affairs between 1996-2000. U.S. Latinos have been on his agenda ever since. Among other distinguished tasks, José is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations and writes a weekly column on international affairs in the Spanish newspaper ABC.
Dr. Klvaňa was a Shorenstein Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University (2003). In 2012 he received the Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Dr. Klvaňa served as the Press Spokesperson and Policy Adviser for President of the Czech Republic, Special Government Envoy for Communications of the Missile Defense Program, and between 2005 and 2010 he worked in various CSR and Regulatory Management functions with British American Tobacco in London, Hamburg, Prague and Brussels. He holds a Ph. D. from the University of Minnesota in the U.S. (1997) and an M. A. from Charles University in the Czech Republic.
