About the Event

The 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections will take place on November 6. The three debates – held by presidential candidates – were followed closely all over the world.

Association for International Affairs, along with its partners, invites you to a simulation of such debate. Four students of the Czech universities will have a unique opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in front of the audience of think-tankers, diplomats, academicians, business people and journalists.

The debate, under the auspices of U.S. Ambassador H.E. Norman L. Eisen, will be evaluated by distinguished personalities with a broad knowledge of U.S. politics. On the eve of the simulation, a voting procedure will take place in order to elect the best candidate. Each member of a three-member jury will have one vote. The audience will have two votes altogether (winner takes it all principle is applied).

The debate is to be divided into three blocs (each 25 minutes)
