My Family is an American film that describes the fate of a Mexican immigrant Jose Sanchez who came from a poor Mexican village to the United States in the 1920s to look for his last living relative. Perhaps at that time, he had no idea that an unknown address of an old man somewhere in Los Angeles will completely change his life. Getting a job in this city was the ticket to happiness for thousands of poor people. His dream almost comes true when he becomes a gardener and falls in love with a beautiful girl.
The film won the Grand Prix at the festival in Montreal and was nominated for an Oscar for the Best Original Screenplay.
