The novel was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2014 and won the 2014 Dylan Thomas Prize. The book was translated by Richard Podaný, one of the most distinguished Czech translators and recipient of Magnesia Litera prize for translation.
The discussion will be moderated by literary critic and American Studies expert Hana Ulmanová. Welcome remarks will be delivered by Anthony Jones, director of the American Center.
