About the Event

For forty years, Kathi Diamant deals with the story of Franz Kafka’s last love, Dora Diamant, with whom she shares her family name.

Her book Kafka’s Last Love was published in 2003 in the US and the Great Britain and was translated into eight languages. In 1996, she established the Kafka Project, to research the story of Franz Kafka and his girlfriend Dora Diamant. So far, she was able to prove that Kafka spent the last year of his life with his real love.

The Trial is a 1993 film made by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) based on HaroldPinter’s screenplay adaptation of Franz Kafka’s 1925 novel The Trial. The film was shot in Prague and Kutná Hora.
