The film captures the testimonies of women refugees who escaped war-ridden Yugoslavia to the Czech Republic in mid-1990s. Through personal stories and their memories, the documentary portrays the women’s struggle to escape Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to find new jobs and new friends in a foreign country.
The documentary provides a look back at how their new life impacted their families and social standing.
The screening will be followed by a discussion and Q&A session.
