We invite you to an online discussion with Salvatore Alaimo, Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. He will discuss current trends and best practices in the management of non -profit organizations and philanthropy in the U.S. and the Czech Republic, including strategic planning, impact, marketing, and leadership.
Professor Alaimo teaches graduate and postgraduate courses in non-profit management. In 2016 he made a feature documentary, “What Is Philanthropy?”, about the concept and practice of philanthropy in the U.S. As a current Fulbright scholar, he is teaching this year at the University of Ostrava, while working on research of the non-profit sector structure in the Czech Republic. He is also working in cooperation with the Brno Center for the Research of the Non-profit Sector.
