Burma has been recently undergoing political turbulences and variety of reforms with an ultimate goal of democratization. This process is closely observed not only by its neighbours but also by many other actors in world politics. The lecture delivered by Maitrii Aung Thwin, Associate Professor from National University of Singapore and one of the world leading scholars on Burma, will cover the latest developments of democratization process, current and possible challenges and the role of the United States in the reforms.
