About the Event

An Inconvenient Truth is a 2006 documentary film directed by Davis Guggenheim about former U.S. Vice President Al Gore’s campaign to educate citizens about global warming via a comprehensive slide show that, by his own estimate made in the film, he has given more than a thousand times. Since the film’s release, An Inconvenient Truth has been credited for raising international public awareness of global warming and reenergizing the environmental movement.

The film screening will be preceded by a discussion on global warming and its consequences with Vojtěch Kotecký of Glopolis, a non-partisan, non-governmental organization which focuses on the analysis of economic globalization, trade, development, agriculture and climate change, and Ing. Jana Caletková, Ph.D., director of the Department of Water Administration, Energy and Food Security at AF-CITYPLAN and alumna of Water and Energy Efficiency, Energy Performance Contracting IVLP program.

In English, with English subtitles, 96 mins.
