Each February, the U.S. celebrates Black History Month. As part of this year’s commemoration, we invite you to enjoy a photo exhibit documenting the influence of African-American men and women on U.S. history and culture. As noted by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, it’s „a story characterized by pain and glory, power and civility, enslavement and freedom.“ The exhibit highlights the brilliance of Black-inspired artistic achievement and the soaring heights of cultural expression, philosophy, sports, and politics. You can see the exhibit in person at the American Center, or virtually at www.kunstmatrix.com too. A Place for All People: Introducing the National Museum of African American History and Culture is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the Museum.
