The documentary film introduces the personal life and artistic career of renouned Czech actor Jiří Voskovec from his arrival to the United States in 1950 until his death in 1981. The film is told from the point of view of his younger daughter Gigi, who after some years found out who her father Jiří-George Voskovec really was. The film focuses on the American dream and the differences between Europe and America. A discussion with film director and author Libuše Rudinská will follow the discussion.

Film director Libuše Rudinská graduated from FAMU and has produced several documentaries since 2002. From 2003-2004, she was a Fulbright scholarship recipient and studied at San Francisco State University.
