Join a presentation and subsequent discussion with Dr. Alejandro del Carmen, Professor and Executive Directive of the School of Criminology, Criminal Justice and Strategic Studies at Tarleton State University in Texas. Dr. del Carmen is currently a federal monitor on the Puerto Rico consent decree.

The presentation will focus on court reform post Ferguson. The discussion will focus on the lessons learned from the United States Department of Justice Report on Ferguson related to court reform. Further, particular case studies will be highlighted where statistical measures were implemented in order to measure and address (if necessary) selective and biased court practices in the United States.
