The Story of Two Female Aviation Pioneers | Lecture

American Center, Tržiště 13, Praha 1 – Malá Strana

About the Event

Harriet Quimby was the first female to fly over La Manche Channel while Božena Laglerová flew over Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and probably in the U.S., too. Both women were artists as well: Božena Laglerová became an opera singer, and Harriet Quimby was involved in film-making. The American pilot died tragically in 1912 while the Czech one died of natural causes, although she stopped flying after 1914.

In Czech.
