Hackenschmied was a Czech photographer, writer, cinematographer and director. He was one of the most important artists of Czech avant-garde photography and film. The American Center will exhibit a selection of his photographs.
As part of the opening, there will be screening of three films that Hackenschmied directed: documentary Aimless Walk, Baťa shoes ad Round and Round, and a documentary on the U.S. Library of Congress.
The program will be opened by film critic Iva Hejlíčková.
