About the Event

The opening discussion of the series Business Talks 2026 will bring together a cross-generational panel of leaders with direct experience in the United States and practical impact in the Czech business environment. The discussion will center on how international experience—particularly from the United States—can be translated into meaningful outcomes for Czech small and medium-sized enterprises.

Václav Sochor (Head of Communications, Tipsport) will offer insights from media and corporate communication and reflections on how exposure to U.S. professional culture strengthens adaptability and long-term thinking among Czech leaders. Tereza Hrbková (COO & Co-founder, Citymind), a Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative alumna, brings a startup perspective on applying transatlantic entrepreneurial approaches in the Czech market. Patrik Juránek (Founder & CEO, Startup Disrupt), another Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative alumnus, focuses on ecosystem building and cross-border collaboration and how international networks can become tangible economic assets, particularly for SMEs seeking expansion and investment opportunities. Jan Barva, a Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship alumnus, represents an emerging generation of leaders, broadening the discussion beyond business metrics toward civic engagement, education, and the long-term societal foundations of entrepreneurship. Alena Líškay Králíková brings an academic and transatlantic exchange perspective, highlighting the value of intellectual openness and institutional partnerships.
