Come and see the Inktrail exhibition, which showcases artist Vojta Berka’s drawings inspired by American cities, landscapes, and animals—from Boston to San Francisco, from chipmunks and seagulls to whales and alligators. Inktrail is a form of visual diary, a trail of ink, a notebook full of pen-and-ink drawings collected during travels across the United States, enhanced by digital color. It is not only a reflection on the continent but also an exploration of expression at the intersection of traditional and digital techniques. The exhibit represents an effort to capture the experience of places through linework, to acknowledge its two-dimensionality, and instead of striving to create an illusion of depth, to emphasize it with a reduced color palette. You can visit the exhibition at the American Center in Prague during public programs or by prior arrangement until January 23, 2026.
