We invite you to the “From Rags to Real Estate: The Story of a Bohemian Family in America” exhibition opening. During the event, Californian artist and art professor Karen Koblitz will present her family history alongside artworks she created inspired by her Bohemian-Jewish roots in the Vysočina Region.
Karen is studying the Czech language, has reconnected with members of her Czech family, and is active in the NGO Tikkun Pacov, which she co-founded. Tikkun Pacov has purchased the synagogue where Karen´s great great-grandfather was married, to restore it as an educational and cultural center — ensuring that the history of the local Jewish community continues to inspire visitors today.
