Are you ready to sharpen your critical thinking and become a confident advocate? In this interactive two-hour workshop, you’ll explore practical tools for problem solving and advocacy. Learn how to break down complex challenges using the Tree of Problem framework, develop actionable solutions, and find out how to effectively advocate for your chosen topic using tailored messaging and strategic communication. We’ll work with real problems, try to understand them, find possible solutions, and present them to others. You’ll also practice fact-checking with AI tools to boost your critical thinking, and work in small groups to prepare and present your own advocacy ideas.
Bring your laptop – group presentations are the final output! You can choose a topic or bring your own issue you care about. Students will work in groups of 5 (3 groups total). This workshop is intended for students and young professionals.
