The film’s story unfolds on the influential New York music scene of the early 1960s and follows the meteoric rise of nineteen-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan — from folk singer to the top of the charts and into concert halls. His songs and mystique became a worldwide sensation, culminating in his groundbreaking electric guitar rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
