Ladislav Sutnar belonged to the pioneers of functionalism in Czech art. His work embraced graphic design, applied arts, toys, but also design of large exhibitions. In the U.S. he is considered as a founder of information graphics and his works are in a permanent MOMA collection.

Lecture about Ladislav Sutnar will be given by Iva Knobloch, curator of library and graphic collection of the Museum of applied arts Prague. The event is organized by Czech National Trust within the “Ticket to the New World” project.
