University of Nevada Chair of English and Foundation Professor Eric Rasmussen is one of the United States’ leading Shakespeare experts and has been called "the Robert Langdon of the Shakespearean world" by The Washington Post. He will provide personal insights on one of the rarest and most valuable books in the world – the Saint-Omer copy of Shakespeare’s plays, his very first edition.

Professor Eric Rasmussen authenticated this work in November, 2014, after which news of its discovery ‘went viral’, receiving an astonishing 12.5 billion online page views worldwide, and occasioning widespread claims that the volume proved that Shakespeare was a secret catholic.

Professor Rasmussen will provide a fascinating insiders’ account of these extraordinary events. Rasmussen received the Falstaff Award for Best Shakespearean Book of the Year from PlayShakespeare.com in 2007, 2012, and again in 2013.
