For International Women’s Day 2017 (March 8), the U.S. Embassy will host a distinguished panel to discuss implementation of the Czech Republic’s National Action Plan (NAP) on Women, Peace and Security, recent approved January 9.

The Czech Republic has now joined more than 60 countries around the world with a NAP, and are currently working to implement its internal and external objectives. Come join us in an off-the-record, open discussion focused on gender equality in peace and security.

The extraordinary panel will include: Czech Ministry of Defense representative Miroslava Stenclova, Head of the Government Council for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men Radan Safarik, Director of the CARE Jan Koubek Kejzlar, Kateřina Gabrielová, Head of Development Awarness Department "Rozvojovka" in People in Need, and Michal Kaplan, director of Czech Development Agency.

The Czech MFA’s UN Coordinator For Women, Peace and Security Agenda Dagmar Novohradská will moderate the discussion.

The program will be in Czech.
