Lecture by renowned American environmental artist Newton Harrison introduced by Barbara Benish.

Newton Harrison, with his recently deceased wife Helen, are known as the “grandparents” of the environmental art movement, a genre that brings visionary solutions to climate issues.  Their long awaited book, “The Time of the Force Majeure, includes discussions and plans for the hundreds of installations and artworks performed across the planet over their 60+ year career. The lecture will describe a project planned for Europe, starting in the Czech Republic next year, with Barbara Benish’s organization ArtDialogue and Jiří Zemánek’s Pilgrim.
