Why are they called the Great Smoky Mountains? It’s not because of the air pollution that plagued the park for decades. Join us to hear Dr. Jeffrey Herrick’s story of the pollution in the park and how America’s most visited National Park got back its scenic beauty.
Dr. Herrick is an ecologist specializing in air pollution at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He has spent his career studying the interactions between the atmosphere and the environment.
The talk will be in English.
