American Spaces


InfoUSA was established in 2005 and is located at the Moravian Library in Brno, the second-largest public library in the Czech Republic in a city with 13 universities. InfoUSA hosts a variety of programs: lectures, films, panel discussions, exhibitions, briefings, receptions, and other events. In 2016, InfoUSA organized 31 programs for more than 900 participants. Roughly 29,000 library patrons visited the floor where InfoUSA is located.


U.S. Point

The U.S. Point in Pilsen was established in September 2013 at the University of West Bohemia; the Point also opened a satellite location in downtown Pilsen in 2016 to expand its reach and diversify its audience. The U.S. Point has an active calendar of events, which includes film screenings, English conversation classes, programs for schools, Education USA advising sessions and presentations by current Fulbright grantees, as well as Fulbright and IVLP Alumni. In 2016, the U.S. Point conducted 127 programs for approximately 2,000 participants and the number of visitors to the space is approximately 4,000 per year.
